I worked on after effects for around a week, learning new tools and shortcuts that would amke the process of editing a little easier. Once I felt I had a good grasp on the software, I added my assets into the program and began to pin the timing in various areas to allow for a smooth movement of my background. However, I found I had to keep going into each file to track the backgrounds movement so that it perfectly alligned with the movement of my stop motion.
I soon accepted that I was not going to geet it perfect, but if i tested different timings and added different effects, then I could get it to a spcae I was exceptionally happy with.
I had the help of techniticians at university adn my peers when I felt I was getting stuck or needed advice on whether there was a smoother or easier way to combat an issue I was coming up against.
I learnt so much about after effects and found it to be reletively easy with various tools to improve your film.
