I began searching for natural sounds of birds, rivers, waterfalls and calming almost meditive music. My research was conducted by looking through free sounds and recording my own audio at brighton beach or when I was sat in parks and could hear the birds. It was fun paying attention to what sounds could elevate my film. The only challenge I was met against was trying to get good audio through my phoen speaker and next time I will loan out recording equpiment to get better quality.
Once I had my sound collected, I began editing in premeir pro pinning sound in various locations and overlapping different sounds to make my own orignal track.
Howecver, when I was finsihedm I felt it was missing something vital, something different to the environment I worked so ahrd to create. My piece was made with the intent of thinking about grief and how the process of accpetng this is various joruneys of going backwards and fowards, the realisation hitting us at the most sponatous of times and i wanted a sound that felt somewhat similar, startling and would bring a sense of distortion, like a ripping in the filed of peace. As such, I added a faint ambualnce sound, blending it nicely with the previous audio but having it obvious eniugh to instal a feeling of discomfort.
I really liked this personalisation and felt it fit quite nicely. Once I was fi ished editing this audio into my mix. I felt I was fin ally finsihed with my film.
