On the day of our showcase, we had every file prepared and just needed to map our visuals to our signs. It proved difficult to map exactly to our signs, as we had to tilt the projector at an angle with a cardboard slip so it would cover every sign. With a little teamwork between Jay and me, we were able to successfully map everyone’s pieces. Thankfully, the installation never broke or fell apart.
I enjoyed working as a team to create a piece that was unique and offered a personal take on the initial project.
Whilst I have previously worked collaboratively with my peers, this felt unfamiliar, as I felt limited in what I could contribute to the group. However, in the two weeks we spent making props, assigning audio, working with projectors, etc., for the installation, I came to the realisation that instead of setting limitations on what I could or could not do, I was able to overcome
difficult barriers, stay organised and communicate effectively with my team to help us all stay on schedule.
