When completing the primary keys, I had a variety of references to work from, including my animatic and the x-sheets, and as the drawings were of my character in a still position, it was not too hard to implement. My challenges began to rise when I had to draw the inbetweens, working to move my subject from one position to another. Keeping the movement smooth was particularly hard; drawing visual arcs was necessary and helpful. Still, for the most part, it was watching my animation back, trying to understand what looked out of place, noting it down, and completing research on YouTube to try and fix it.
